My love for Ayurveda stemmed from a deep interest in alternative health and lifestyles. This interest has taken me on numerous trips to Asia where first came into contact with Ayurveda. Something within me opened up when I realised I had come across the most holistic of all medical systems in which everything is specifically tailored to the individual.
Since then I have obtained a BSc (Hons) in Ayurvedic Studies, Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine, Certificate in Ayurvedic Massage.I have been on many knowledge seeking missions to India and completed 3 months clinical practice in Ayurvedic Hospitals in Sri Lanka.
Over this time I have become aware how lifestyle choices such as diet, routine and habits, exercise and modes of thinking can be the basis of profound healing as well the cause of disease. I feel a strong desire to incorporate this ancient wisdom and science into the West by helping others to empower themselves to make simple habitual changes in order to heal themselves. By preventing and removing disease Ayurveda helps us to optimising our vitality and experience of life.
I am currently practicing in Bristol. As well as full Ayurvedic consultations and herbal remedies I offer specialised treatments such as Marma Massage, Abhyanga, Indian Head Massage & Shirodhara. Treatments are available individually or may be prescribed in sequence as a package tailored to suit the requirements of each individual.
I also give talks on Ayurveda, run Ayurvedic retreats which include yoga, massage, consultations and Ayurvedic cooking workshops. |
